United Polaris Lounge San Francisco review 2026 — Terminal G

Utility score: 8.1/10 SFO

United Polaris Lounge SFO

The FlightLogic verdict

United Polaris at SFO International Terminal G is among the best US airline lounges for transpacific business class — we rate it 8.7/10. Access is restricted to Polaris and Star Alliance Gold on international departures; domestic United passengers use standard United Clubs elsewhere.

United Polaris Lounge sits in San Francisco International Terminal G — the primary transpacific departure area for United long-haul flights to Tokyo, Singapore, Sydney, and London. Access requires United Polaris business class on an international departure, Star Alliance Gold on international itineraries, or United Global Services membership. Standard United Club day passes do not grant entry.

The dining concept exceeds typical US airline lounges: hot food prepared to order at breakfast and dinner, a premium bar with West Coast wines, and table service during peak periods. Shower suites and private work pods suit the 12+ hour sectors United operates from SFO. Wi-Fi measured 40 Mbps — adequate for video calls from the work pod area.

International Terminal G connects airside to Terminal A, making Star Alliance connections easier than at JFK or ORD. Pair with /guides/sfo-airport-lounge-guide-2026 and /reviews/united-airlines-airline-review-2026 for United strategy from the UK via SFO.
