Chase Ink Business Cash Review 2026: 5% Categories

By Alex Turner 8 min read
Quick Answer

The Chase Ink Business Cash is one of the strongest no-annual-fee business cards available, with a large welcome bonus and 5x categories that pair naturally with a Sapphire card for point transfers.

The Ink Business Cash pairs well with a Sapphire card for point transfers.

This is a no-annual-fee business card that earns 5x Ultimate Rewards on the first $25,000 per year in office supply store purchases, internet, cable, and phone services. Gas stations and restaurants earn 2x on the first $25,000 per year in each category.

The critical detail: Ink Business Cash points are not directly transferable to airline and hotel partners on their own. You need a personal Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve, or Ink Business Preferred in the same household to unlock 1:1 transfer partners. This pairing strategy is standard among points optimizers.

The welcome bonus has reached 100,000 points after meeting a spend threshold in the first three months — one of the largest no-fee bonuses available. Those points, once pooled with a Sapphire card, transfer to Hyatt (often the best redemption value), United, Southwest, and others.

For small business owners or side-hustle freelancers with meaningful spend in the 5x categories, this card is essentially free points. The annual caps on bonus categories mean heavy spenders will hit the ceiling, but for most businesses the $25,000 limits are sufficient. Keep a Sapphire card open to preserve transferability.

Before you pack — pre-trip essentials

Flight and hotel links convert late. Finance, FX, insurance, and gear decisions happen weeks earlier — when professionals budget for long-haul stays. These picks fund FlightLogic without touching editorial scores.

Is Chase Ink Business Cash worth it?

For US small-business spend in 5% rotating categories (office supplies, telecom, etc.), it is one of the best no-annual-fee business cards — if you can separate business spend.

Can I get Ink Business Cash without a large business?

Many sole proprietors qualify using a Social Security number and a legitimate side business — check Chase's current application rules.
